You can come up with your own values that are not on the list.

Then I went through the list and wrote down all the values that seemed close to me. Got 10 pieces. Then I sorted them from most important to least important. That’s what I did:

  1. Freedom (to do what I want, communicate with whom I like, wake up when I want);
  2. Independence (to solve your own problems the way you like, self-employment, be able to provide for yourself and pay your bills);
  3. Sincerity (say what you think, be real yourself);
  4. Reliability (so that you can rely on if a thing works for a long time, it works properly and is made with high quality);
  5. Lightness (lightness of being, easy attitude to life and oneself, not to worry and not to bother, to learn how to do things professionally and without any extra effort);
  6. Comfort (clean comfortable toilet and bath, pleasant surroundings, so that the atmosphere is pleasing to the eye, the surrounding people are pleasant to talk to);
  7. Analysis (the study of life, philosophical knowledge, comparison of data, search for patterns, visualization of graphics);
  8. House (the presence of your own housing, roots, arrangement of your town);
  9. Calmness (calm the nerves and reduce stress, live in harmony, be confident in the future);
  10. Cleanliness (maintaining the environment and oneself in order).
Me myself is a little shocked by my values. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the list of concepts that were important to me was “what a boring person I am”! Still not knowing what values my boyfriend would choose, I thought that two points would coincide with him: freedom and sincerity. Imagine my surprise when we compared our lists! It’s just incredible. Judge for yourself how we can be together for the 17th year.

It turned out that the Bear and I agree on something important, which allows us to understand each other and be happy together. I think that it is very important for a couple to have an intersection in values in their views of the world, otherwise your worldview may come into conflict, which will begin to destroy relationships. If you look at yourself without being tied to love affairs, then values reveal a personal essence. I suddenly realized why it is important for me to be able to get enough sleep and work for myself. Why do I attach great importance to a clean toilet and a beautiful environment in the house, etc.

Do you already know your current values?
